Never Miss an Islamic Date Again — Introducing Hijri Calendar for Android

The Challenge of Tracking Two Calendars

For Muslims worldwide, life runs on two calendars simultaneously. Ramadan, Eid ul-Fitr, Eid ul-Adha, the months of Muharram and Rajab — these are all governed by the Hijri (Islamic) calendar. Yet most of our daily planning — work, school, appointments — follows the Gregorian calendar.

Keeping both calendars in sync is a constant struggle, especially when Islamic dates can vary by region based on local moon sighting. We built Hijri Calendar: Islamic Date to solve this problem once and for all.

Dual Calendar, Zero Confusion

Our app displays Hijri and Gregorian dates side-by-side, so you never have to mentally convert between the two. At a glance, you can see today's Islamic date, the current Hijri month, and how it maps to the Gregorian calendar. This dual-view approach makes planning for both religious observances and daily life seamless.

Adjustable Hijri Correction

One of the most common frustrations with Islamic calendar apps is date accuracy. Different regions follow different moon-sighting criteria, and a one- or two-day offset is common. Our app solves this with a manual Hijri correction feature that lets you adjust the date from -2 to +2 days to match your local community's observation.

This seemingly simple feature was one of the most requested by our users, and it makes all the difference between a calendar you trust and one you have to second-guess.

Global Holidays & Islamic Events

Beyond basic date display, our calendar highlights important Islamic holidays and events throughout the year:

  • Ramadan start and end dates
  • Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha
  • Laylat al-Qadr and other significant nights
  • The sacred months of Muharram, Rajab, and Dhul Hijjah
  • International observances and public holidays

Custom Notifications

Set reminders for specific Islamic dates so you never miss the beginning of a sacred month or an important event. Whether it's the first fast of Ramadan or the Day of Arafah, our notification system has you covered.

Designed for Daily Use

We spent significant time refining the user experience. The interface is clean, modern, and inspired by Islamic geometric aesthetics. Everything is accessible within one or two taps — because a calendar app should give you the information you need instantly, without friction.

And like all our apps, it works completely offline. Check your dates anytime, whether you're at home, at the mosque, or traveling.

1,000+ Downloads and Growing

Since launch, Hijri Calendar has been downloaded over 1,000 times, and we continue to refine it based on user feedback. Our goal is to make it the most reliable and beautiful Islamic calendar available on Android.
